This judge is awfully heavy-handed for a case whose legitimacy in law has been widely criticized, not only for reasons of bias, but for reasons of statute of limitations, authority to prosecute, and precedent.
The judge himself refused to recuse himself despite his close family members being closely connected — and financially entangled with — among other people, members of the Trump impeachment team. None other than Pencil-neck Schiff is among them.
The judge isn’t biased, though. Just ask him. And so the case rolls on.
Further evidence of this ‘total lack of bias’ came up with scheduling questions. Barron will be graduating soon, and his father wanted to be present for that. The judge was non-committal about whether Trump should get to schedule that day off or not.
Telling Trump he can’t attend Barron’s graduation goes beyond mere jackassery.
This is deliberately cruel.
Is the MSM really so lacking in self-respect that there’s no willingness to report on this? https://t.co/qq4Rj5hkVy

This judge wants the case to run along quickly. He is planning for 4 days a week, and a break on Wednesdays.
What do you suppose the judge said about prior court commitments… say the immunity case that’s being heard at SCOTUS?
Trump’s attorneys also requested to excuse the former president next Thursday in order for him to attend Supreme Court arguments on immunity claims he raised in another criminal case — but Merchan didn’t bite.
“Arguing before the Supreme Court is a big deal, and I can certainly appreciate why your client would want to be there, but a trial in New York Supreme Court … is also a big deal,” the judge said, rebuffing Trump lawyer Todd Blanche’s request.
“I will see him here next week,” Merchan added.
That ruling led to more ire from Trump in the hallway.
“He won’t allow me to leave here for a half a day to go to DC and go before the United States Supreme Court, because he thinks he’s superior, I guess, than the Supreme Court,” the GOP 2024 presidential frontrunner said. — NYPost

PRESIDENT TRUMP: "That I can't go to my son's graduation, or that I can't go to the United States Supreme Court. That I'm not in Georgia or Florida or North Carolina campaigning like I should be… This is about election interference." pic.twitter.com/SSfWxMUu7d

John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.
This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.
The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.
In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.
Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
