There’s a glaring hole in the left’s official J6 Insurrection narrative, one that is far easier to account for when the right points to incidents like this one.
If J6 was an ‘insurrection’ — what was the objective? Other than demonstrating ‘peacefully and patriotically’ which for some devolved (for various contested reasons, including panic response, crowd dynamics, unexplained behavior where crowds appear to be waved into the building, and intentional refusal of National Guard supplementing security) into mob behavior of smashing windows and clashing with police in a way that would look like any ordinary Tuesday if it happened in Berserkley.
Biden spent the next four years diverting massive percentages of law enforcement to demonizing one day’s riotous activity while paying scant attention to the ones that (for instance) cropped up in the aftermath of 10/7. As if to underscore the point, his own running mate helped raise bail money for BLM rioters in the pandemic years, where rioting was the inexplicably the one area where social distancing was not ruthlessly enforced. (Fauci’s Intelligence Community connections notwithstanding.)
The left and the media were adamant about ‘nobody’ being ‘above the law’. Until Dems led a ‘protest’ disrupting legislative sessions in Tennessee after the Covenant School shooting. (That shooting turned out to be deliberate racial and religious targeting of white Christians by someone who identified as trans. Those motives were expressly detailed in a journal that had been suppressed by authorities for a long time.) Dems wasted no time in leveraging the tragedy as an impetus for some of their favorite causes, and agitated in the Legislature to force the hand of the elected majority from the GOP. Newsweek (weak?) defended the riot in a ‘fact-check’ peace.
The seemingly endless attacks on ICE facilities are another example of calculated political violence.
The DOJ has formally indicted some 15 Antifa-affiliated subversives for felonies.

The Justice Department today announced that 15 members and associates of Direct Action Minnesota (DAMN) have been charged with various federal crimes, including conspiracy to impede a federal officer, multiple counts of interstate stalking, interstate threats, solicitation to commit a crime of violence, multiple counts of assault on a federal officer, and destruction of government property.
Over the last 24 hours, federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) conducted a coordinated law enforcement operation culminating in the arrest of 12 DAMN members. Two DAMN members are at-large, and one was previously in federal custody on separate charges.
“As alleged, these defendants, which included members of Antifa groups, engaged in an unrelenting campaign of harassment and violence targeting federal and local law enforcement,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “Their actions created a dangerous environment that threatened not only their intended targets, but the community as a whole. These arrests demonstrate the Department’s commitment to law and order and stopping organized political violence in Minneapolis and beyond.” — DOJ
Hundreds of leftists showed up at the courthouse in protest.
Some seem to have made an attempt to literally storm the courthouse, as if they imagined themselves to be storming the Bastille. A couple clutched the door handles for dear life, trying to hold the doors open so that, what…? Probably trying to let the swarm of other protesters swell into the building.
If ‘jailbreak’ was, indeed, their ‘DAMN’ plan, it failed.
Miserably.

These ‘peaceful protesters’ might want to think carefully about how ‘direct’ their ‘direct action’ becomes. After all, in an federal building, they won’t be able to hope for the leniency of a corruptocrat AG that may or may not be under suspicion for his own actions (or inactions) in the Learing Center corruption fiasco.
