Talirico has taken woke seminary courses AFTER he went to Congress. Why? To put a patina of credibility on an otherwise radical left candidate who has explicitly aligned himself against traditional Christianity. If he wins? He’s going to Spanburger the clods he duped into elected him with the biggest bait-and-switch policy pivot Texas has ever seen.
He’s got himself a snake-oil pitch at the ready to pump up any leftist position he needs to sell. He’s even got a ‘Biblical Truth’ argument for abortion and trans issues. He spends his time trashing the traditional American way of life, while trampling the very first Commandment — that one about ‘no other gods’ — redefining the nature of God in one breath and praising Islam in the next. But he insists on being taken seriously as an ‘expert’ on Christian teaching.
Of course, the kind of ‘Christian Teaching’ he has in mind wants to take private property, by force if necessary (Thou shalt not steal) and ‘redistribute’ it others those who covet it. Very Christian values. Obviously.
What kind of books does his church offer for training kids about human sexuality? Yes, kids.

There, children have access to a library stocked with “banned books” that promote ideas rejected by most Christians, including books that contain descriptions of anal rape, incest, and oral sex, according to a Daily Wire review of its offerings.– NRSC

There is ONE thing Talarico cannot STAND kids learning about
He’s cool with little kids learning about anal rape, incest, and oral sex. But there’s one red line that must not be crossed.

Leaving aside whether you think any American can even HAVE a complete education without at least passing familiarity with the same Bible on which so many of both English literary and western political history depends (city on a hill; house divided; Good Samaritan; so many of the ideas and metaphors invoked by Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Lincoln, MLK, and countless others), do you spot the critical error he is making in HOW he is objecting to teaching Bible stories to children?
Ignoring whether the criticism of biblical teaching is even objectionable (spoiler: It isn’t), the core of his objection is built on this logic:
teaching stories as historical fact… the only truth… to our youngest students… and I mean kindergarten, first graders. These are kids who are unable to, to think for themselves yet, they haven’t formed their own worldviews and haven’t and to push propaganda, to push indoctrination on those youngest students is deeply immoral.
James, James, do you even HEAR yourself?
His ‘church’ if one dares to even call it that has a library full of EXACTLY such propaganda preaching a counterfeit gospel of post-Christian sexuality.
Including anal rape and incest.
To young children.
Whose worldviews are not yet formed.
To push indoctrination and propaganda.
Sounds ‘Deeply Immoral’ alright.
But he’d rather carp about the ‘eeeeevils’ of kids hearing about Daniel in the Lion’s Den.
