He was a lifelong public official whose policy decisions left the lives and livelihoods of millions around the planet in tatters… but he still imagines himself the hero of his own story.
HE might see himself as a hero. Apart from his most devoted sycophants trapped in their sunk-cost dilemma of enthusiastic support for his narratives, and punitive derision of all opposition, (looking at YOU, ‘mainstream media’ and ‘big tech’), the rest of the world has been gradually waking up from their slumber to realize that much of the horrors of the past several years were made far, FAR worse than they had to be, by a man who didn’t even personally believe the lies he was feeding to the rest of us.
And like any petty tyrant: failure to bow the knee to his lies would brand you a heretic and subject you to mandatory penalties, including loss of livelihood, fines and sometimes even prison.
Now that the music has stopped and he’s been exposed for the lying clown that he’s always been, he is doing what he can to preserve his credibility and make his critics out to be the villains in his story. Of course, the fact that he was using taxpayer computers, taxpayer time, and a taxpayer-provided email to send himself a summary of what he thought were the important events on any given day so that the self-described most famous scientist in the world could get a head start on his memoir was exactly the sort of self-immolating hubris you might normally expect to find in a Greek play from antiquity.
Our own Albin Sadar is back from a bit of a break, and he couldn’t resist picking up on that theme with a political cartoon to mark the occasion. Is he the villain of the COVID era?
Absolutely.
But just like any Bond villain would be powerless without their army of henchmen executing their mad plans, we must NEVER forget who it was that silenced anyone who challenged his lies, and helped force policies that shredded the Constitution down the throats of regular Americans.
The whole POINT of such rights is that they remain in force no matter WHAT excuse a rogue government element might offer to suspend them.
Granted by God, and not by Men.
If someone could PLEASE explain that phrase to both the media talking heads and the zealots taking over the American left, that would be great.
