Just when you figured the bar for ‘journalism’ couldn’t get any lower, along comes a clown like this guy.
Trump and Carey are in a minor dust-up over trade. Canada is gonna talk tough until they realize they have nothing to gain and everything to lose, and they’ll eventually cave.
In fact, report are that they were ready to sign until Doug Ford had a hissy fit about putting US liquor back on the shelves of the government-monopoly liquor stores in Ontario, because he’s upset about the tariff on the auto sector. Burning down the whole country because he’s trying to play the tough guy on TV. And he’s supposed to be a ‘Conservative’.
How does the press in Canada handle the situation? Well, first off, their baseline levels of TDS make their American counterparts look like MAGA patriots by comparison, so naturally, they’re assuming the worst.
But this journey has taken the express train to crazy town.
You have a chance to ask one question to Adm. Samuel Paparo, commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and what are you asking? Is it about China? Bilateral cooperation? Deployment? Rivals stockpiling icebreakers to open up Arctic travel?
None of those. Instead he’s asking whether US is contemplating going to war with Canada.
War? Really?
Paparo answered with the mocking contempt such a question rightly deserved.
GOING VIRAL: 🇺🇸 US admiral responds to a Global News reporter's “preposterous” notion that U.S. President Donald Trump might seek "military action" to annex Canada. “Would you ask me please, also, what my attack plans are for the martians,” said @SJPaparo. pic.twitter.com/wvVNQ7fs9T

A little bit of trolling and some tough talk on trade issues (to take back some of what Canada poached post-NAFTA when their exchange rate was starting to resemble the peso?) and this clown is losing his ever-loving mind.
