It’s the precise opposite of the activist left’s instinct to obliterate American History in order to write a new story that fits with their new agenda.
Instead of tearing down all memory of the figures who achieved American milestones, and heaping opprobrium on their name in the process, Trump is proposing something more in the spirit of the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.
He’s calling it a Garden of Heroes, something of a garden museum featuring the likenesses of leaders, innovators, and cultural icons that have passed the torch of American exceptionalism across a variety of disciplines down through the generations.
The Democrats, on the other hand, would far sooner invoke 1619 than 1776. They would far sooner rehearse America’s blunders and failures than her success and achievements. They are so accustomed to parroting the talking points of America’s enemies that they have entirely internalized them.
If the haters had the opportunity to create a Garden of Heroes it would take a very different tone, celebrating very different people.

Which ‘icons’ do we see featured in this frame?
Obama, of course. Soros. George Floyd. Joy Reid. Hillary. Biden (face down) Kamala, standing, as usual, on someone else’s pedestal, and a little urban blight to make them all feel at home.
You may have some other suggestions to round out that list.
Maybe they’ll be decorating with all the muck that was trucked out of the Reflecting Pool at the Washington Mall as well.
