Under Biden, shady shell companies would employ foreign born truck drivers who had neither the skills nor the language to drive big rigs on American highways.
It was yet another Biden-era policy that recklessly killed Americans. When Duffy started cracking down on illegal drivers, blue states stonewalled.
In other words: Dem governors like Newsome and Hochul cared more about illegal truckers than the Americans they endangered. It dovetails perfectly with their refusal to acknowledge violent crime committed by illegals aliens.
Under Trump, in response to a series of high-profile fatal crashes involving foreign-born drivers with fraudulent credentials, the Feds started cracking down on unqualified foreign-born drivers. Some tens of thousands of jobs are coming available as a result.

Before we get the ‘whose going to pick my tomatoes’ argument thrown at the trucking industry, there’s a perfectly good pool of competent workers to draw from… folks who would be more than happy to work that job.
“For many years, American highways and roadways have been terrorized by unqualified illegal aliens dangerously driving big rigs,” Trump said. “Last year alone, illegal aliens with commercial driver’s licenses caused at least 30 deaths and many, many (others) very seriously injured.
“We’ve already removed more than 24,000 non-English speakers from behind the wheel,” Trump added. “We’ve also forced states to cancel more than 28,000 commercial driver’s licenses unlawfully issued to illegal aliens.”
Under the Freedom Haulers program—a joint effort involving the departments of Transportation, Veterans Affairs, Labor, and War—the administration aims to fast-track veterans into civilian trucking careers. The policy allows veterans with heavy-vehicle military experience to skip redundant civilian road tests to obtain a CDL within two years of active duty service. For veterans without prior truck-driving experience, the administration is offering accelerated training programs. — Commercial Carrier Journal
Better still, vets can use their benefits to cover the cost of training, and if they have experience driving heavy trucks, they can even skip some of the requirements.
