In 1917, who among the Russian citizenry might have known that when Vladimir Lenin and the Bolsheviks seized control of the country national misery would linger for at least 72 years?
History has repeatedly shown that a single leader can doom a nation for decades if not far longer.
Long-term Suffering in Daily Increments
Following Lenin’s second stroke in 1923 and subsequent death in 1924, a far greater level of misery ensued, courtesy of the maniacal, dictatorial, homicidal Joseph Stalin. He terminated his domestic enemies, even his relatives; intentionally starved as many as 7,000,000 Ukrainians from 1932 to 1933; and heightened Cold War tensions that reverberated to the late 1980s. Today, in different forms, Cold War tensions have resumed with the autocracy of Vladimir Putin.
Obviously, Austrian Adolph Hitler wreaked havoc on Germany, starting in 1933, and then on the world. After 12 years, Germany, Europe, and much of the planet were in shambles. Mao Ze Dong in China, Leopold II in Belgium, Benito Mussolini in Italy, Hideki Tojo in Japan, Pol Pot in Cambodia, Kim Il-Sung in North Korea, Yakubu Gowon in Nigeria, Idi Amin Dada in Uganda, Janos Mahleiro Savimbi in Angola, Jean Kambanda in Rwanda, the Castros in Cuba, and Hugo Chavez, followed by Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela, deceived, diminished, and decimated their respective countries.
A single corrupt, incompetent, or compromised head of state can contort the fate of a nation and its tens of millions of citizens for the span of a lifetime, if not far longer.
Corrupt, Incompetent, Compromised
Consider the Biden-Harris Administration. Are Biden and handlers maniacal or merely homicidal? On many days it seems that they are both. In any case, the harm that they’ve inflicted in 29 months, and continue to inflict, can endure for a generation or more.
Add it up: our porous southern border, the return of inflation, the number of jobs lost, the rising crime rates, the warping of our education system, the encroachment of China and Russia, the Middle East bungles, the disdaining our Keystone oil pipeline while approving the pipeline from Germany to Russia, and the gargantuan number of businesses folding up shop here and moving elsewhere, in sum, is frightening.
If Biden dies or becomes incapacitated beyond what he’s already displayed, Kamala Harris will become the least qualified president, ever, to assume office. This includes Zachary Taylor, Franklin Pierce, Chester Arthur, and, yes, Harry Truman (unqualified initially but worthy once in office). From top to bottom, she is a socialist and an elitist. She comprehends next to nothing about productivity, labor, the GNP, energy production, budgets, the national debt, foreign relations, or immigration.
A Combination Made in Hell
Harris is more manipulative than Lyndon Johnson, more inept than Jimmy Carter, more devious than Bill Clinton, more treasonous than Barack Obama, and more demented than Joe Biden. Kamala Harris could wreak more devastation on America than any previous president.
How, exactly, can a spectacularly unqualified individual such has Harris reach our highest office? Recall that she severely and appropriately chastised Joe Biden during the 2019-20 Democrat primary debates. She was a walking disaster in the primaries, generated minuscule levels of support, and thankfully dropped out. She drew no enthusiasm from any segment of Democrat constituents. Then, chosen by Biden’s handlers to be his VP, Harris praised Biden to the high-hilt as if she had never spoken a word against him. Okay, that’s politics…
Sure, we could have been beset with Elizabeth Warren, Maxine Waters, or God forbid, Nancy Pelosi as the first female president. However, fate has dealt us Kamala Harris, and fate, indeed, can be cruel.
Our Avoider-in-Chief
Harris deflects serious questions with aplomb, certainly more adeptly than the bumbling Biden. In her tenure during the Biden-Harris Administration, she has declined to take her assigned lead on the border situation, completely ducking the role.
She is the poster child of the privileged class, dealing the “woman of color” card as needed. Her record in California and rise in West Coast politics speaks for itself; sleeping with Willie Brown to gain career favors while incarcerating black men at unprecedented levels.
Harris is not able to control her unprovoked and awkward mirth at inappropriate moments. When asked about the dilemma of working parents who have to continue to homeschool their children, she immediately burst out in laughter. Experts say that she probably suffers from pseudobulbar affect, but that does not tell the whole story. On an array of issues, her feigned sincerity rivals that of Nancy Pelosi.
A Bumpy Ride
Harris deservedly has the lowest poll numbers of any VP, ever. We’re in for a rough ride, with few if any options for redress at the Federal level. Happily, numerous state governors are taking command in reigning in this Administration of clowns, on issues such as illegal immigration, big tech censorship, women’s sports, sanctuary cities, and the 1619 Project.
Perhaps, we’ll retake the Presidency, House, and Senate in 2024, hold the Supreme Court, and gain governorships and state legislatures. Or the Democrat’s well-oiled election cheating mechanisms will doom us. Until then, it’s a hair-raising ride, down a slippery slope, in truly hazardous waters.
