The presstitutes have cranked up their outrage machine again, but will anyone actually believe them this time?
Do people still remember that old morality tale about the boy who cried wolf? Because they’re back at it again. As if we don’t remember all the times they’ve been caught lying.
At a recent rally, Trump was making the case for why his Iran policy was not only good for Middle Eastern politics, but also in the interests of American national security. You might think the convictions on Iraninan proxies for attempts on the lives of Americans — including Trump himself — might be a clue that the world’s leading state sponsor of terror wants something beyond merely being left alone.
He mentioned a scenario of what might go wrong if Iran attacked. He named two large cities in California. The presstitutes of the Media(D) lost their collective minds. Perhaps they’d have liked it better had he named cities in Texas or Florida?
True to my longstanding ‘lightning rod’ theory of Trump being deliberately outrageous in order to shape the conversation that follows, he made an outrageous statement that has EVERYONE talking about an Iranian strike on the US homeland.
Of course, the crooked commentators couldn’t help themselves. They framed it in the most dishonestly hostile context they could dream up. And elected Democrats ran with it. But even Harold, representing the Dem position on The Five, saw the outrage as his side’s usual overdramatic bullcrap treatment of anything that comes out of The Donald’s mouth.
The full segment opens with Emily Compagno setting up the clip itself, together with the Democrat response.
Next comes Harold Ford Jr. (time stamp 2:18)
Then Greg Gutfeld. (4:43)
Then Dana Perino. (8:01)
And Jesse Watters bats clean-up at 9:43.
Harold was a voice of moderation.
Greg blasted the left for being either willfully stupid, genuinely stupid, or cynical enough to believe their listeners are when they deliberately lie to them. He couldn’t help but notice that our criticisms of the left don’t require twisting their words so much as an accurate, in-context spotlight on what was actually said.
Dana looked at it from a comms director angle, citing an incident with Dubya.
But Jesse went gloves off on the hoaxers.
It’s a deliberate head-fake because they don’t DARE talk about the real news of what’s happening under Trump’s leadership.
