If you enjoy seeing smug journos faceplant in the trap they set for an ‘ignorant’ guest, you’re going to LOVE this.
With Guyana developing their offshore drilling, Big-Green-Kool-Aid-Drinking journo took it upon himself to shame their president for failing to abide by the ‘acceptable’ woke sensibilities.
President Irfaan Ali wasn’t about to bend the knee to anybody, least of all a know-nothing corporate lackey whose only job is to enforce ideological conformity.
BBC’s Stephen Sackur imagined he was coming into this interview as a predator. It was only after President Ali began his response that Sackur began to realize that he was, in fact, the prey.
“Let me stop you right there…”
Caribbean nation Guyana is booming after discovering oil. BBC’s Stephen Sackur puts it to President @presidentaligy; lobbyists say oil is bad for the climate.

“Let me stop you right there.”
Sackur took a long time laying out what he thought was going to a browbeating of the President over Guyana’s carbon missions.
Not only did it get flipped around showing the accusations were some combinatation of malicious and incompetent, but he exposed the moral bankruptcy of his own accuser. Ghana — for all of its drilling — is far doing far better ecologicially, even WITH the conveniently cherry-picked data points used by the BBC.
Better still, he took a step back and looked at the bigger picture of what happened to Europe’s biodiversity compared to the country he had come to criticize.
