You’d think the word ‘deplorable’ had enough embarrassing history that she’d look for some other word, right? Wrong.
Biden’s two press secretaries were as different as night and day. Psaki was a skilled political operator. Intelligent. And an effortless liar. It’s no wonder she landed a TV anchor gig at (of course) MSNBC, or whatever they’re calling it these days. Even her dodges showed some rhetorical flourish, or a deflection to ‘circle back’ to it at a future time.
KJP on the other hand, was affectionately referred to by yours truly as Biden’s spokes-muppet. She was NOT good at her job. Not even an effortless liar. Her ‘tell’ was the worst-kept secret in DC: blinking like she was sending morse code in some kind of a hostage video.
Well, KJP is pitching a book, apparently. But you wouldn’t know it by her lousy sales record. Maybe that’s why she felt the need to lash out at her successor, Karoline Leavitt, calling her ‘deplorable’.
Not an especially original insult. And one that backfired hilariously against the Hildebeast. But bless her heart, maybe that’s the most blistering insult she’s capable of producing. But maybe she should have chosen her target more selectively. Leavitt is more than capable of handling herself. And KJP is massively outgunned in the rhetoric department.
The smile on Leavitt’s face as Jesse tees up the question tells us just how eager she is to hit back.

Someone who covered all of Biden’s incompetencies — and continues to prop him up — has no moral high ground from which to call anyone on the planet a ‘liar’.
