After a decade of hard lessons learned at the hand of unfettered immigration bleeding Europe dry, on top of social and economic policy prescriptions that give no thought to second-order consequences, many Europeans are waking up to the some of the same realities that Trump has been declaring since he came down that famous escalator.

But you gave us paper straws, tethered bottle caps, and Gay Pride.
You’re not just Merkel’s best student. You have surpassed her. Ms. von der Leyen, mired in scandals with serious allegations of corruption, Pfizergate, missing messagesand refusal to submit to scrutiny. And all of this without the legitimacy of the European citizen’s vote.
Just with the backing of the Socialists, and Weber. Ms. von der Leyen, you have devastated us!

As you might guess, she’s an elected representative from a broader European movement whose priorities aren’t so different from what energized MAGA in the first place. From the website:
