The Houthis have joined Iran’s proxy war on Israel by attacking marine traffic in the Red Sea, pressuring Egypt to pressure Israel by strangling their economy.
It’s not just Egypt being effected either. As we all learned when the Evergrande got wedged in the Suez Canal, the world relies heavily on marine traffic passing through that little sea lane.
This gives Iran a low-risk, high-reward leverage point they can use in their ongoing proxy jihad against the West. Use some of the money they are now flush with since Biden dropped those sanctions to arm the Houthis to the teeth. Then they can turn them loose like a rabid dog with plausible deniability.
Except for one problem. There IS no plausible deniability, because Iran is directly involved in attacking Western targets — including unsuspecting civilian ships as well as American and British warships. Besides the arms and training the Houthis are getting from Iran, they are, as mentioned by the Senator in the video below, getting specific targeting information on American warships from the Iranians.
This is an ongoing issue. Just hours ago, for example, we saw this release from CENTCOM:
The U.S. military said its forces destroyed eight aerial drones late Wednesday in areas of Yemen controlled by the Houthi militant group.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement the drones “presented an imminent threat to U.S., coalition, and merchant vessels in the region.”
CENTCOM also reported destroying three other Houthi drones early Wednesday, including two that were over the Gulf of Aden and one over the Red Sea. — VoiceOfAmerica
When Reagan was President, he reacted when Iran started playing similar games. They had been laying mines in the region to threaten and disrupt marine traffic. The term ‘FAFO’ wasn’t around yet, but Iran got a massive dose of it, when Reagan authorized Operation Praying Mantis.
On 18 April 1988, the U.S. Navy launched Operation Praying Mantis against Iranian targets in the Arabian Gulf in retaliation for USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG-58) mining four days earlier, which blew an immense hole in the ship’s hull. Ten Sailors from Samuel B. Roberts sustained severe injuries. Four were seriously burned. Commander Paul X. Rinn was hurt as well. The ship should have sunk, but thanks to an extraordinary damage control effort by all hands of an extremely well-trained crew, Samuel B. Roberts was kept afloat.
The U.S. response was fierce. Operation Praying Mantis was the largest of five major U.S. Navy surface actions since World War II. It was the first, and so far only, time the U.S. Navy has exchanged surface-to-surface missile fire with an enemy, and it resulted in the largest warship sunk by the U.S. Navy since WWII. In the one-day operation, the U.S. Navy destroyed two Iranian surveillance platforms, sank two of their ships, and severely damaged another. — History Navy Mil
Iran took the hint and backed off.
Now, Alaska’s Senator Dan Sullivan is asking our military brass why we don’t do the same with the Iranian ship responsible for directing Houthi attacks against Western (and American) targets.
Iranian spy ships have been providing the Houthis with intelligence used to target American warships in the Red Sea.
I asked the @SecDef and @GenCQBrownJr, why are we not sinking those ships? pic.twitter.com/Zw5SD0Bfqm

Remember how Joe Biden bragged about how we would back our friends and make dictators tremble? With is Middle East policy in particular, it sure looks like he’s doing exactly the opposite of what he promised to do.
Unless he’s working off of a very different definition of who our friends and foes are than the rest of us.
Even still, even ‘Genocide Joe’ should be smart enough to understand that the guys who chant ‘death to America’ are NOT our friends.
The question is… is he honest enough to admit it? Or has he sold his soul — and America’s — on the altar of ambition?
John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.
This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.
The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.
In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.
Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
