If this hadn’t been translated for us, we might not know what Rep Omar has been saying in her native tongue when she thinks she’s among friends.
The back story behind this speech is an agreement between Ethiopia and a region of Somalia called Somaliland. (The aspect of her speech showing her casual agreement racial genocide in the country of her birth was explained here.)
Ethiopia is offered a sea port (which will be used to help fight Red Sea piracy) in exchange for (among other things) Ethiopia recognizing Somaliland’s independence.
Here, we’re going to look at the betrayal of her oath of office, elevating another country’s national interests above those of America.
We’re not even stopping to comment on what a half-assed Muslim she must be for saying (out loud!) that she is more devoted to Somalia than she is to her religion.
Here are a couple of spicy statement she made in this speech. Since the left loves pronouns so much, pay close attention to how she makes use of ‘we’ and ‘they’. It’s very telling about where she thinks her actual loyalty is owed:
— We are Somalians first, Muslims second…
— The US government will only do what the Somalians in the US TELL them to do. They will do what we want and nothing else they must follow our orders and that is how we will safeguard the interests of Somalia.
[That right there would be ugly enough. But she kept going.]
— We Somalians must have that confidence in ourselves that we call for the shots in the US.
— The US is a country where one of your daughters (myself) is in Congress to represent your interests
— Sleep in comfort knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the US system. The woman (myself) you sent to Congress is working day and night to protect your interests. She knows your plight ant that of Somalia. I am as concerned about Somalia as you guys are. Together we will protect the interests of Somalia. President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, the current President of Somalia has done a remarkable job in looking after Somalia.
— Mr. President you have done an excellent job (fighting Ethiopia + Somaliland) and we are happy about it. You spoke to Somalians dispersed across the world theat you are there to look after Somalia however weak it (Somalia) is, or is a failed state.
— We are people who will never all ow someone else to steal our land. […] The way you rallied around our President [of Somalia] because he needs us today.
The next time she dares to lift her voice about ‘insurrection’, ‘occupation’, or even racism — we can throw this speech right back in her face and tell her to stick it up her caboose.
If she wants to represent Somalia so badly, she can go join their government and do so properly.
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
