“So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou has found it, then there shall be a reward…” Prov. 24:14
The Bible has a lot to say regarding wisdom. While the O.T. books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes are referred to as the “wisdom books”, from the O.T. to the New Testament, wisdom is one of the constant themes of leading a spiritual life. Depending on wht translation of scripture you read, wisdom is mentioned 200 to 222 times.
Wisdom as a desired attribute is mentioned in Exodus 31:3 in regard to the structure of the Tabernacle. In James 3:13-17, the difference between earthly and Godly wisdom is discussed. And of course, wisdom is the first of the list of Spiritual Gifts found in 1st Cor. 12:8-10.
What actually constitutes wisdom? By definition wisdom is:
accumulated philosophic or scientific learning; ability to discern inner qualities and relationships; good sense, judgment.
In essence, then it’s not off base to say that wisdom is fundamentally the proper use of knowledge.
What does this have to do with us a politically aware Christians? How did Christ exemplify the use of wisdom?
Luke chapter 2 has one of the accounts of the birth of Christ. After His birth and circumcision after 8 days, Mary and Joseph went to the temple in Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, as was the custom under Mosaic law. They returned home afterwards and verse 40 says: “And the child grew and waxed in spirit, filled with wisdom and the grace of God was upon him.”
Between verse 40 and verse 41 of this chapter in Luke is a span of 12 years. This is the story of Christ’s earthly parents losing track of him, and after 3 days found him back in Jerusalem at the temple, discussing scripture with the teachers. They were amazed at his knowledge and questions. This account is Luke 2:41-52, and it ends with: “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.”
One of the best examples of Christ’s use of wisdom is also from Luke’s gospel, chapter 11:33-54. To summarize, Christ was invited to dine at the house of a Pharisee. When this man got on Christ’s case about not performing the ceremonial washing known in Hebrew as “netilat yadayim”, which is about spiritual purification and not physical hygienic cleansing, Christ wasn’t having it. To put it bluntly, He carved this Pharisee a new one. Read this passage for yourself. It’s remarkable regarding the over emphasis on religious ceremony versus spiritual insight.
It’s also a remarkable example of wisdom as the proper use of knowledge. Christ knew how the Pharisees wanted to catch him off guard. He just beat them to it.
This is our example of how to use the knowledge we’ve gleaned from the Demsheviks regarding their intentions. We have to speak up and stop caring about not being “empathetic” enough, charitable enough, or care whose “widdle feelz” we hurt. You really want to know “what would Jesus do?” Go back and read those verses from Luke. Here is just a short list of the knowledge of what some of those intentions are:
Socialist mayors of Seattle and NYC. They’re not hiding what they want to do, especially Mamdani.
They’re now saying the quiet part out loud. Some examples:
Maureen Galindo, a Demshevik from Texas who lost her primary bid, is on record saying that wants prison for “American Zionists”. Basically, she’s saying she wants Jews in concentration camps…here in America. Read that several times over. Then there’s Graham Platner, the oyster farmer guy from Maine. He’s racist, anti-Semitic, disrespectful to military, has a for real Nazi tattoo, and also discovered a new use for porta-johns. And last, but definitely not least, is California Gov. Gavin Newsom. He’s on record saying yes, he’d allow illegals to vote in any and all elections.
The Biden/Harris fiasco. I’ve mentioned before that in a weird, almost perverse way, we really should be thankful for President Biden. His administration gave us a four year window into what they really want to do to us and the entire country as a whole, if they ever get power again.
We could also spend a lot of time discussing Islam, but I believe more and more Americans are waking up to the fact-both historical and philosophical-that Islam is NOT the religion of peace they claim it to be. We’ve been shown the knowledge that Islam has no place in Western civilization.
In conclusion:
We could go into a lot of detail regarding what the Demsheviks have shown us. They’ve gifted us with the knowledge of their intentions. Christ never shied away from controversy; He faced it head on, and totally unapologetically. Do we have that kind of wisdom to stand up against the hate and destruction they want to bring? The mid-terms are just 6 months away. Pray for the wisdom that we can use the knowledge of what we know about our foreign and domestic enemies in order to gain the strength to continue fighting.
