The Biden Dept. of Education is canceling rules enacted by the Trump administration aimed at preventing universities from seeking to destroy religious-based clubs and organizations on the nation’s campuses.
Biden is seeking to eliminate the Trump rule that would take away federal funding from schools that illicitly shut down religious clubs or organizations on campus thereby violating their religious freedoms.
“After its thorough review, The Department today issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing to rescind a portion of the regulation related to religious student organizations because the Department believes it is not necessary in order to protect the First Amendment right to free speech and free exercise of religion given existing legal protections,” Biden’s crooked Department of Ed announced on Tuesday.
In other words, the Biden administration wants to return to the days where universities perpetrated seek and destroy missions against Christians with abandon and without fear of the federal government intervening and stopping their anti-Christian campaigns.
That was the whole reason the Trump administration created the rule in the first place, to act as a deterrent to the violations of religious liberty that were occurring daily in schools all across the nation.
The DOE says the feds want to go back to the process where the judicial branch is the place where cases of violations of religious liberty are addressed.
Now, as a conservative, let me say that in a sane world, that would actually be the proper policy. But the problem is, the left does not play by rules. When they see a lag time such as that which occurs when they ban Christians on campus and the YEARS it takes those Christians to get redress in the courts — not to mention the tens of thousands of dollars it costs to take these cases to court — these anti-American colleges know they can act with impunity.
These left-wing, America-hating colleges know that 90 percent of the time they will be able to violate the First Amendment and not a thing will be done to them for it past having to weather the temporary social media storm that will briefly be kicked up once they march to destroy Christians on campus.
And that is what the Biden administration is doing. They are winking to these Christian-hating schools and telling them that they can safely renew their attacks on the First Amendment knowing that 90 percent of the time they will get away with it Scot free.
