In a stranger-than-fiction twist of fate, almost 6 years to the day after the last moments of George Floyd went viral, another died-in-police-custody moment went public.
When the kid said he had been stabbed, the cop told him otherwise. As you might have guessed — the kid was right.
If you’ve not yet heard the name Henry Nowak, brace yourself. It’s about to be the focal point and rallying cry of boiling rage directed at incompetent policing paired with a justice system where equality before the law is seen by many to have been sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. Political cowardice in the face of being dubbed ‘racist’ was blown open by the casual indifference of the so-called ‘grooming gangs’ in which police refused to charge offenders who had systematically abused wave after wave of young British girls in unspeakable ways over the span of decades. Some parliamentarians have asserted the potential of hundreds of thousands of such victims nationally.
When an 18yo University Freshmen gets fatally stabbed by a 23yo Sikh man without apparent provocation, that’s a horrific crime. But when the man who was later convicted of the murder complains to the cops that he’s the victim of a ‘hate crime’ in the process, and Nowak bleeds out while wearing handcuffs, despite claiming to have been stabbed and complaining he can’t breathe?
That sets up a whole OTHER conversation. We already see examples of police turning a blind eye to certain kinds of unruly ‘protest’, while arresting street preachers or folks with ‘hurtful’ Facebook posts. When authorities are more bothered by patriotic flags of St George than white-on-black ISIS flags, that’s a sign of something bigger going on.
And that ‘something bigger’ reared its head in how police treated a murderer as a victim, and callously arrested the guy who was bleeding out.
The kid was murdered December 3, 2025. The conviction of the killer just happened. And only after an outraged public DEMANDED it, did we finally see the body cam footage. June 1, 2026. Almost six years to the day after the UK (and the rest of the world) was turned upside down to another died-in-police-custody video in Minnesota.
The police indifference to his injury was even more damning than we expected.

In response to the conviction of his killer, the police made a public statement.
“Henry was falsely accused of racially aggravated assault as he lay dying on the ground, while his attacker stood by denying the violent act he had inflicted upon him.
“The incident that led to Henry being arrested and handcuffed was part of Digwa’s cruel intentions to frame himself as the victim.
“It is devasting the officers did not believe Henry when he said he’d been stabbed and couldn’t breathe.
“When officers realised he was gravely wounded, they uncuffed him and started CPR.
“His death is a national tragedy.
“The details of the police response raises serious concerns about police impartiality, fairness and judgement.
“Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has apologised for handcuffing and arresting Henry minutes before he died.
“The force also referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) the day after Henry lost his life.
“The findings of the IOPC review will be published, and as Commissioner I am committed to ensuring the findings are implemented without delay.
“Central to this incident is the fact that Vickrum Digwa was able to carry a knife in public because there is an exemption for those who observe the Sikh faith to carry ceremonial daggers.
